Magazine Brief

Thursday 12th November 

Lesson 1

Suitable for children because of the use of typography for the title, Its fun, Brightly coloured and not in a very serious font. Also the image/Illustration is suitable for the target audience because it has very bright colors and it is yet again it is a fun character as is clear that it is not meant to be taken seriously. The type also has the white glow around the words to make them stand out more and make the colors appear brighter and bolder than they actually are. 

 

This poster is also suitable for the target audience (Children) because they're using a collage of a friendly animal and big bold bright colored text. The typography also has a shine to it to glorify what they're trying to portray and attract young eyes to this magazine.

A good magazine article is made up of many different things, for example a good article needs to have a Start Middle and End otherwise it will be very confusing and no one will know how to understand it. It also has to have a story to it and cant just be wrote about useless nothingness otherwise it wont sell at all, An article can also have an eye catching heading that is very big and bold and stands out quite a bit. It helps if they illustrators know the target audience for the magazine as well as this will increase sales across a wide range of the ages they're directed at.

The target audience can be heavily influence the narrative of the article because if it for a younger target audience then you're not going to want to use big words and long complex sentences that will make it difficult for the reader to understand, you also want to make sure if it is a younger audience it is an appropriate topic for them to read about.

The target audience for this article would most likely be teenagers that are interested in football, it could also be directed at the older generation as they have seen Messi,Ronaldo and Maradona all play but this specific article would be aimed at teenagers because it is on newsround.

Introduction - Could Overwatch be the best competitive game to exist? It an easy to argue against topic as you either love it or you hate it, but it could be the BEST competitive and MOST competitive game to exist. This has been very debatable against other games like, CS:GO, Tom Clancys Rainbow Six Siege and League Of Legends. But does Overwatch blow all of these competitive games socks off.

Middle - As we know Overwatch attracts millions of people all across the world exceeding any numbers seen before by a competitive game. It also sells millions of tickets all the time for venues that the games hosts for the top end competitive teams to attend and battle for the title of the best Esports overwatch team to exist, many people will buy tickets for these shows to watch it in real time while others will stay at home and watch online, some donating to the events hosted and others subscribing to stay connected with the sport.

Conclusion- Overall it is very opinion based on whether you think overwatch the most competitive game of all time, but I think that it is definitely on top with the greats. It has a very strong audience to support it whenever (even through a pandemic) and that's why it will continue to rise in esports raking in millions of numbers worldwide
